CMB Monaco automates the control and validation of trading orders
A Monaco-based private bank since 1976 and a member of the Mediobanca group, CMB Monaco launched an automation project to free its teams from repetitive work and make controls on sensitive transactions more reliable.
The challenge
Every trading order had to be matched against counterparty confirmations before validation. Two operators spent their entire day on it, handling 4,000 to 6,000 orders a day during the pandemic, with no way to hire.
The solution
A bot ingests confirmations received through Swift or Excel, checks 14 to 15 criteria per order across some twenty screens of the core banking system, validates compliant orders and generates a report every hour.
The results
An iterative, building-block approach led by the employees themselves: the bot supports the team rather than replacing it. A dashboard gives managers better visibility.
